Finally, we got a job!! Shawna and I were starting to freak out a little there. Our recruiter says we were really fortunate the first two assignments with getting our jobs so quickly so not to worry. Yeah, me and Shawna NOT WORRY. Are you kidding?
So after many unsuccessful attempts to find something in Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana or Alabama we decided on Tennessee instead. Knoxville to be exact. Can you see where our worry came in?! I was starting to think it was just me. (sad face) I guess it was because most of those states don't really use travelers. And then there's Georgia. Oh Georgia... you're stuck in the ancient days of ink fingerprinting and snail mail. Now, I do not claim to be with the times. In fact, I am the brunt of many jokes about just how technology-impaired I actually am. But the fact that Georgia is worse than me will be my excuse from now on. Because getting that license was taking SOOOOO long, we were out for that state. So that leaves TN. Luckily, we got in just at the right time to interview with our new boss. She was so enamoured with me she hired us both without even talking to Shawna! Either that, or they just need warm butts in seats...
So yesterday we packed up the apartment, I headed to Ashland after dropping my mom off at the airport while Shawna stayed back an extra day to take care of odds and ends. We leave from Ashland here in a few days, make a (too) short stop in South Dakota, then off to Tennessee!! Now, just to pass this pesky test to prove that we have good enough critical thinking skills to work there. Keep your fingers crossed for us, if we don't pass - we are out of a job. AAAAARRRRGGHHH. Like I don't have enough test anxiety on my own.
