The hills of Arizona

Downtown Sedona reminds me a little of Ashland. Quirky little things pop up out of the corner of your eye every once in a while. This one caught Paul's attention. We stuck around for a few minutes so he could show me his musical side.

How excited is HE??!!

On Airport Road. We asked around for what would be the best place to catch the sunset. Our server told us to come here. It was a pretty popular place... about 4 tour buses and 100 cars worth of people had the same idea. It was hard to stand there and wait so I snapped off the next few pictures and headed out. Too bad because we 'caught' the best part of the sunset as we were driving down the hill. Damn!! Teaches me to be impatient.

On our last morning in Sedona we wanted to take a hike. After much research followed by a hasty decision (there were so many to choose from!), we went with one called the
Church something-or-another. Here we are about 3/4th's of the way up. We are headed to the gap in between the two towers there. Pretty sure we were off-roading like all the signs told you not to, but oh well. I wanted to see what was on the other side!

On our way back down. This was the view we were priviledge to the whole time. Awesome!

A quick shot showing the entire trek. Wasn't very long, but we were scaling slick rock walls on all four's for a while.

Now that Sedona was done, we were headed back to Scottsdale for one night, then up for an EARLY ass flight back to our respective homes. That was a LONG day. Thankfully I had entertainment on the 4 hour flight back to TN. Here's a quick recap.

I had just settled into the flight. I had my magazine, my headphones, my flight-standard ginger ale.  I was seated in the very last row, right in front of the restroom. I hear, "Ma'am, are you feeling ok?" Shoot. Here we go....
They say it again, "Ma'am? Do you need assistance?" Followed by, "Go get the oxygen."
Shit.
Over the intercom: "We have a passenger that is requiring medical assistance. If there are any medical professionals on the flight, could you please push your call button?"
I waited... not one person pushed their button.
Guess I'm stuck. I push mine.... soon followed by 2 others.
I and another woman go back to help the woman in the bathroom. She is having a quite intense (what appears to be) panic attack. The other woman and I treat her with our personal stash of pills (Ativan and Imitrex). Awesome. My favorite part? When I said that she needed fluids, we found a 500ml bag of NS in the emergency medical kit on the plane. I asked the ER Physician's Assistant if she wanted to start the IV, to which she replied, "I don't know how to start an IV. I write orders, not DO STUFF!" Hahahhaahh.... oohhhhh.... I laughed - out loud. Speak the truth!
So we fixed her up as much as we could, gave report to the nearest hospital, then handed off the patient to the EMS crew that met us when we landed.
Hope she was ok, I had to catch my flight!

Then, as I was walking (running, rather) through the Charlotte, NC airport... I find an elderly lady lying on the ground directly off the end of one of the moving walkways. Appeared to have tripped off the end and broke her hip. I stuck around until I realized they had the situation under control and the lady wasn't in any imminent danger.

A few corners later I turn my head to see an obese man clutching his chest. Damn, really??!! He takes a seat, there is a woman on a walkie-talkie calling for airport medical staff.

Wow... looks like Charlotte needs to invest in their own ER.
